Cerium

• Some children who are underachieving at school can be assisted with tinted lenses.

• Cerium tinted lenses provide treatment for Visual Stress Syndrome e.g. dyslexia, as well as challenges such as migraines, photosensitive epilepsy and neurological conditions that inhibit reading, learning and working for individuals of all ages.

  
  

• In order to find out whether an individual might be helped, an initial test using Intuitive Coloured Overlays may be carried out. If a specific colour appears to help in the consulting room, a coloured overlay may be dispensed. This will then be used by your child during reading, usually for a minimum of 4 weeks, to determine whether there appears to be a benefit in using colour. This is called a prognostic trial.

• If the coloured overlay has proven to be helpful, then an appointment for Intuitive Colorimetry will be made, which will enable your Optometrist to prescribe a very specific Cerium Precision tint.
