Patients with MGD can be treated with a range of therapies, including hot compresses, eye-drops and specific oral antibiotics. Some patients do not obtain relief from these methods, to whom we might suggest LipiFlow treatment.
Treatment for Dry Eye
LipiFlow provides a direct, thermally controlled heat massage to the inner eyelid surface. The calculated temperature (42.5º) necessary to target the solidified oils, facilitates the release of secretions from the obstructed glands, to improve the lipid layer and relieve the symptoms of Dry Eye.
